演讲人🫃🏻：Dr.Troy Maurice Smith

Dr. Troy M. Smith is currently a Faculty Member of the BNUZ School of Foreign Languages, and teaches IELTS Speaking, Advanced English, Critical Thinking, as well as mentors a group of BNUZ students completing their Thesis requirements.

Dr. Troy received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Baltimore School of Law, his Masters of Science in Education from the University of Maryland Baltimore County, and his Bachelors Degree in Political Science & Russian Studies from Syracuse University.

In this lecture, Troy will explore the differences between two separate and distinct cultures. By using a graphical & pictorial overview of his thoughts and observations, he hopes to discover & discuss the beauty of diversity using an educational approach & methodology. As Troy puts it:

“Many people talk about the differences between of Eastern & Western Culture, but I don’t believe words truly capture the essence of these distinctions. In this lecture, I want to explore these differences through the use of pictures and imagery. By taking a unique approach, one that is ‘truly Troy’, I hope to connect with & engage the BNUZ community in a lively discussion about two things: First, by exploring differences, we can celebrate the splendor and grandeur of two separate and distinct cultures, and second, by doing so, we can better appreciate the diversity each brings to the world in which we live.”
