演讲人🎆： Tom Hughes

Born in Hollywood and raised in the Los Angeles area, Tom Hughes has observed the Hollywood film industry from avariety of angles; from rubbing elbows with actors at local LA restaurants,attending movie premiers, and being friends and neighbors with a variety ofactors and film industry workers. In addition, he followed and reported on the California entertainment industry for an international trade organization.Having been involved with Asia and Asian affairs for nearly 30 years, Tom has also followed developments in East and Southeast Asia film, as a film goer in 4 different Asian countries while also attending several local film festivals. He has also recently written a textbook with two former colleagues from Guangxi University, entitledBeyond Movies:Hollywood English and Global Film Culture.

演讲内容简介：This lecture will provide a brief overview of some of the historical developments and current directions in the Chinese and American film industries. In addition, the lecturer will share some stories from the past and make some predictions of the future of Sino-American cooperation in film production.
