3月20日晚上6点，英语角如约在图书馆大厅举行🧚🏼。虽然天公不作美下起了毛毛细雨🧞‍♂️，但这丝毫不影响同学们参加英语角的热情。本次英语角的主题是《我最爱的地方》☹️。到场的外教老师分别是Mr. Leck Wall🫄🏿、 Ms. Sarah Tillman、Mr. Sean McHugh、Mr. Michael Beauchot和Ms. Cecily Hurst.

Mr. Michael Beauchot说每个人心目中都有一个自己向往的地方，他最喜欢的地方是中国的三亚。他介绍说🪚⛓，在那里他可以享受大自然的洗礼👸🏿，摒除一切的俗世杂念🌕。他认为北京、上海和香港的生活节奏太快，不适合他天生爱好自由、无拘无束的性格。Mr. Leck Wall则迫不及待地说起他跟他女朋友在中国大理度过的浪漫夏季。他非常喜欢大理蔚蓝的天空🫷🏽、宽广的海洋、他怀念那里的大象和漂亮的鹅卵石✌🏽。同时他也回忆起在墨西哥的生活，并兴致勃勃地向同学们介绍了当地的传统节日——“驴节”⇾。而新加入我们外院大家庭的外籍老师Ms. Cecily Hurst，则带着她三个可爱的女儿一起来到了英语角💃🏽🈹，并愉快地跟同学们分享了她们旅游的所见所感。在场的一位同学说，因为忙于学业都没有时间去旅行，他很希望自己可以趁年轻到世界各处都走一走。而Ms. Cecily Hurst也提到她的大女儿在欧洲游玩的经验，并鼓励同学们大胆走出去🔉，开阔视野，不要做井底之蛙🧜🏿‍♂️。

英语角始终处于一种和乐融融的氛围里🥛。欢快的交谈使同学们似乎置身于世界各地，品尝着各种美食㊙️，饱览着无数美景。衷心希望以后每个人都能生活在他们所喜爱的地方🙎‍♂️。

English Corner----My Favorite Place

English Corner was held in the library every Wednesday from 6.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m. Although it was raining today, it did not affect the enthusiasm of the students to take part in the English Corner. Today’s topic was My Favourite Place. Tonight the overseas teachers who attended the English Corner included Mr. Leck Wall, Ms .Sarah Tillman, Mr. Sean McHugh, Mr. Michael Beauchot and Ms. Cecily Hurst.

Mr. Michael Beauchot said that everyone had a favourite place. His favourite place was Sanya, China. The reason why he loved this place was that he could enjoy the beauty of the nature and get rid of all the distractions. Moreover, he considered that Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong had a fast pace of life, which made them not suitable for people to live in. And he felt more comfortable living in a slow-pace city. Meanwhile, Mr. Leck Wall was sharing his lovely experience in Dali, Yunnan province with his girlfriend. He loved the blue sky, the vast ocean, the elephant and beautiful pebbles there. Then he recalled his experience in Mexico and shared the local traditional festival called Donkey Festival with the students. And Ms. Cecily Hurst, who is a new teacher in SFL, took her three little daughters to the English Corner. She recommended some beautiful places to the students and shared her daughter’s travel experience in Europe. When one of the students said that he wished to travel all over the world, she encouraged the students to go outside so that they could broaden their horizon.

With this topic, all the students would have chances to experience the beautiful places all over the world in a special way. It would be everyone’s dream to live in a place that they’re longing for.
