学习寓于娱乐的英语角活动一直都是校园里一道最为亮丽的风景线。3月6号下午六点😺，外院迎来了本学期第一次英语角活动。热情的外教与同学们将图书馆一楼大厅变成了一个语言交流的殿堂🏣，流利的英语回荡在馆内的每一个角落。本次出席的外教有Mr. Christopher Dockstader⛲️，Mr. Stephen Keen，Dr. Matthew Conduct，Mr. Sean McHugh👇🏿，Ms. Linda Jean Visner，Ms. Sarah Tillman 和Ms. Amy Van Gundy。正值寒假归来，外教与同学们分享了旅游中遇到的各种趣事。

Mr. Stephen Keen与同学们分享了初到中国的感受💂‍♀️🤯。他先到台湾工作了两年后，又来到中国大陆，他觉得虽然台湾与内地在语言表达上有所不同🤷🏻‍♀️，但中国人都非常风趣友善。Mr. Stephen Keen还与同学们讲叙了自己的家乡新西兰🦹🏽‍♂️。新西兰人很喜欢体育活动，Rugby是他们的最爱，这是一种类似美式橄榄球的运动🦻🏿。聊到假期的娱乐活动自然少不了有关电影的话题，Mr. Stephen Keen还和同学们互相分享了假期里看过的电影👲🏻。

另一边，Mr. Sean McHugh向同学们展示了自己旅游的照片🧑，并绘声绘色地介绍了他在途中遇到的趣事🥞，包括在印度、非洲、马来西亚、上海等地区。每一个地方都给他带来全新的体验🏠，妙趣横生的旅途见闻让同学们赞叹不已。

其他外教也与同学们聊得十分愉快🤌🏽，大家还交换了微信、QQ等联系方式🥺。

这次英语角活动在外教和同学们的积极参与下圆满结束🧑🏽‍🎨。通过互相的交流🏊，同学们与外教增进了友谊，同时也提高了口语水平。下期英语角我们又将进行什么呢，让我们一起期待！希望有更多的同学可以加入我们🌗！

English Corner - Travel Experience

English Corner as a very enjoyable and educational activity for the students, is always a popular event on campus. On March 6th, the first English Corner was held on the ground floor of the library at 6:00 p.m. It is so popular that many students and overseas teachers attended it. The foreign teachers there were Mr. Christopher Dockstader, Mr. Stephen Keen, Dr. Matthew Conduct, Mr. Sean McHugh, Ms. Linda Jean Visner, Ms. Sara Tillman and Ms. Amy Van Gundy. After the winter holiday, the teachers and students shared their interesting experiences of traveling during the holiday.

Mr. Stephen Keen shared his feelings about his first visit to China. He worked in Taiwan for several years and then came to mainland China. He noticed that even though Taiwan and mainland areas have differences concerning language use, Chinese people are always very friendly and humorous. Mr. Stephen Keen also introduced his hometown, New Zealand, to the students. New Zealanders are crazy about sports, especially Rugby, a kind of sport similar to American football. Besides traveling, watching movies is also a main entertainment during our holiday. Therefore Mr. Stephen Keen and students exchanged their views towards various movies they have seen in the winter holiday.

Meanwhile, Mr. Sean McHugh showed the students his own tourist photos and described some interesting things that happened in his tour. He has traveled to lots of regions, such as India, Africa, Malaysia, Shanghai. Traveling to different places would bring him a brand new experience, which also attracted the students a lot.

Through the English Corner, the students and overseas teachers could communicate face to face, which has deepened their friendship and improved students’ spoken English. What will be going on the next English Corner? What kind of topic do we prepare for you? Don’t hesitate. Come and join us!
