英语专业八级考试将在2015年3月21日举行👨🏿。为了让11级英语专业学生对英语专八考试有更深层次的认识*️⃣，11月13日晚7点，九游会平台副院长谢庆立副教授的英语专业八级培训讲座在励耘楼A302正式开讲。

“知识时代，我们热爱知识🚋！”谢庆立老师为讲座拉开序幕🚶‍♀️。对于英语专业学生来说🟥🕣，英语专业八级考试的重要性自然不言而喻。谢老师指出，通过英语专业八级考试不仅能够成为真正意义上的英语专业学生，而且能够在求职、就业过程中为简历增光添彩。

接着🫷🏽，谢庆立老师介绍了专八考试的考试流程和考试大纲👨‍🦽，并针对题型及要求进行逐一讲解。他步步剖析题目选材范围，重点介绍备考方法：勤查字典词书⛔、常听BBC💕、VOA以真正提高听力；对于翻译类题型☠️，他举出实例♛🌧，以比较译文是否妥帖；根据题型专项训练推荐《英语世界》▫️、《英语国家概况》等相关书籍。谢老师强调不管处于哪种阶段🙅🏼‍♀️，终身学习都尤为必要🧑‍🔬。当今时代知识更新换代速度较快，社会也在对人进行着沙里淘金。“学习也可以很快乐🥒。”总而言之🤦🏻‍♀️🥔，提高听🤙🏼、说、读🖕🔛、写、译五大语言能力是关键，“就算没有天分，只要你愿意每天花一点时间🧑🏼‍🍼，做同样一件事情，不知不觉间，你就会走得很远”。

A Lecture on TEM-8

TEM-8 will be held on March 21st, 2015. To make sure that seniors of the English majors have better understanding of this national exam, associate professor Xie Qingli, vice dean of the SFL, gave a lecture on how to prepare for the TEM 8 in Liyun A302 at 7 p.m. on November 13th.

“Be nice to nerds. Chances are you’ll end up working for one.” Mr. Xie Qingli started by quoting a remark made by Bill Gates. He then touched upon the importance of the TEM-8. A good performance in the exam made an English major in the full sense and ensured more job opportunities.

The examination process and outline were also introduced in this lecture. Besides, Mr. Xie Qingli recommended that people should take lifelong learning as a habit. “After all, you should enjoy the process of learning.” “Even if you haven’t got the talent, so long as you keep trying, over time, you’ll find yourself achieving much.” Mr. Xie Qingli added.

At last, Mr. Xie Qingli concluded the lecture by sharing a verselet written by himself to encourage the students to work much harder.
