11月4号晚🧑🏻‍🦱，Mr. Darren Mullins的讲座在励耘楼A207举办🍛，同学们坐满了整个教室👧🏽🤵🏿。Darren以一首他的吉他自作曲The Days Of You And Me 开始了讲座👩‍👩‍👦。

首先，Darren向我们展示了一个美国有名的乡村音乐排行榜🧗🏻‍♂️。在这个排行榜中👵🤵🏽‍♀️，Darren的自作曲排在了第十名，而美国的著名的乡村音乐歌手Taylor Swift排在70名以后🤾🏽‍♂️。Darren认为每个人对成功的定义都不一样，有的人认为成功是赚很多钱，有的人认为赢得一场篮球赛就是成功🧑🏻‍🦯‍➡️，而对于Darren来说，自己写的歌得以发表就是成功🥖。

Darren告诉同学们要想获得成功🦪，首先要学会承担风险。没人想要失败，但失败不是结果，风险即机会🌻。就英语学习来说，如果你因为无法正确地说英语而羞于开口，那么你永远都学不好英语👨🏿‍✈️🌲。犯错误并不可怕，它可以让我们知道下一次不应该怎么做🧗🏿‍♂️。而最重要的一点是努力，无论你的目标是什么，没有付出就没有收获。

最后，Darren以一首著名的老歌Love You More Than I Can Say结束了他的演讲。每个人都有着自己对成功的认识，但无论怎样都应向着自己的目标去奋斗。在这场讲座中，同学们既欣赏到了好听的音乐，又学到了有用的道理。

A Lecture on How to be successful

On November 4th, Mr. Darren Mullins began his speech with a song called The Days Of You And Me , which was written by himself in Liyun Building A207.

First of all, Darren showed a famous ranking list of American country music. In this list, Darren’s song was ranked the 10th. However, the song of Taylor Swift was even not among the top 70. Darren thought that everyone had different definitions of success. Some people thought that success was to make a lot of money. Some people held the opinion that success was to win a basketball match. As for Darren, success was to have his songs released.

Darren told the students that we should learn to take risks first if we wanted to be successful. No one wanted to be defeated. But failure was not the end. Risks and opportunities coexisted. As for English learning, you would never learn English well if you felt ashamed to speak just because you were unable to speak English correctly. The last but the most important thing was working hard. No matter what your goal is, no pains, no gains.

Finally, Darren finished his speech with an old song called Love You More Than I Can Say. Everyone has his understanding of success, and should strive for his goals. In this lecture, students enjoyed wonderful music and got a deeper understanding of success.
