2016年10月20日，九游会平台学生党支部特色活动之珠海公示语翻译纠错实践活动成果汇报在励耘楼B407成功举行，九游会平台罗敏老师🫵🏼、刘金哲老师🐫、以及九游会平台学生党支部全体成员参加了会议🚴🏻♀️。
公示语是一个城市人文环境的重要组成部分，而公示语的翻译如同一面镜子，反映出一个城市，乃至一个国家的人文环境建设甚至对外交流水平🧑🍼。规范公示语翻译，净化城市语言环境是关乎弘扬中华文明的盛大事业💆🏿♂️。为了珠海的城市建设，同时将专业学习与服务社会有机结合，我院学生党支部组织支部成员进行了主题为珠海公示语翻译纠错的实践活动。此次活动自9月份发起，历时近两个月⛄️，支部成员组成实践小组🕐，积极参与。各小组成员以PPT的形式展示实践成果，与支部成员们进行了分享与交流。
在成果汇报中，同学们展示了自己在走访实践中发现的翻译错误🗄，并给出相对应的修改建议。各小组的报告着重阐述了出现错误翻译的原因，包括英汉表达差异、词不达意、拼写错误、语法错误等⛄️；同时也提出了对公示语翻译的合理建议🧎➡️：1.要了解不同文化背景下词语表达的不同意思，避免出现词不达意和词语误用；2.要注重译文规范化，以使译文符合目的语的语言习惯等👩🏻🍼。各小组的成果展示都获得了同学们的认可。同时罗敏老师也将因翻译错误而造成的尴尬趣事分享给大家，使现场气氛更加活跃，也让大家深刻认识到公示语翻译的重要性👯♂️。
最后，罗敏老师对各小组的汇报情况作了点评，本次成果汇报顺利结束。此次实践活动让支部成员进一步了解了生活中的翻译错误，增长了翻译知识🙆，提高了翻译纠错意识。
Achievement Report on Zhuhai Translation Correction of Public Signs Held
On October 20, 2016, Zhuhai translation correction of public signs achievement report was successfully held in LiYun building B407. Student affairs counselors Ms.Luo Min and Ms.Liu Jinzhe and all members of Student Party Branch attended the meeting.
Public sign is an important part of urban humanistic environment, and translation of public signs as a mirror reflects a city, a country’s humanistic environment construction and even foreign exchange level. Standardization of public signs and purification of urban language environment are vital to carry forward Chinese civilization. For the sake of Zhuhai urban construction, at the same time, professional learning and serving the society, members of Student Party Branch of our school organized practical activity on the theme of Zhuahai translation correction of public signs. The activity was launched in September and branch members set up practical teams, taking an active participant in the activity. The team members presented their practical results in the form of PPT, sharing and communication with branch members.
In achievement report, the students showed their translation errors found in the practice, and gave the corresponding suggestions. Each group's report focused on the reasons of mistranslation, including expression differences between English and Chinese, the word failing to convey the idea, spelling mistake, grammatical mistake, etc; At the same time they put forward reasonable suggestions on public signs translation: 1. To understand different meanings under different cultural context, and to avoid ambiguity and malapropism. 2. Pay attention to the standardization, in order to make the translation conform to the language habits of the target language, etc. Meanwhile, Ms.Luo Min also shared her embarrassing story of mistranslation, which made the atmosphere more active and let people deeply realize the importance of public signs translation.
In the end, Ms. Luo Min made comments on each group’s report, and the achievement report ended smoothly. The practical activity make branch members further understand the translation errors in life, enrich their translation knowledge, and arouse their awareness of the translation correction.
