To build a learning-oriented, service-oriented and innovative Party Branch, the Student Party Branch of School of Foreign Languages held “Jingshi Voluntary Teaching” which included eight voluntary teaching activities from 24 April to 2 July, 2016. It aimed to help students to put what they have learned into practice, and to cultivate and develop children’s interest in learning English.

As a featured activity of the Student Party Branch of School of Foreign Languages, and with outstanding students from the Branch as teachers, Jingshi English voluntary teaching has been successfully held by the School from 2011 to 2016. The activity was to provide voluntary English teaching for four to twelve years old children of teachers from BNUZ. All classes were given in English according to the age and psychological characteristics of the children. And the courses included topics that children were interested in such as color, animals, family members and so on.To improve children’s interest in learning English, a variety of teaching aids were used by teachers such as colored cards and videos. This voluntary activity showed the spiritual outlook andconsciousness of social service of students of SFL. What’s more, it offered students a good opportunity to improve their language proficiency.
