SFL was Awarded the Advanced Group of Student Affairs
On January 5th, the work team of student affairs of SFL was awarded the Advanced Group of Student Affairs of BNUZ in the 2017 Awarding Ceremony held by the Party Committee of the university.
In the year of 2017, under the leadership of Professor Tao Wenhao, both the Dean and the General Party Branch Secretary of SFL, the work team of student affairs of the School thoroughly studied and implemented the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics in a new era and the spirit of the conference on ideological and political work in institutes of higher education. Focusing on the fundamental task of strengthening moral education and student cultivation, and adhering to the School motto of “Love, Knowledge, Morality and Integrity”, the work team of student affairs of SFL has always been dedicating to developing whole-person education.
Through the years, the team showed strong organizational support, scientific approach and successful publicity of policies. It carries out the concept of holistic education by comprehensive quality assessment, actively explores the system of peer mentors, deepens the system of academic advisers, and emphasizes the construction of a research-oriented team.
In 2017, the team finished successfully thirty-one projects of student affairs at university level, one project of funding and education at university level, and achieved targeted poverty reduction in helping 88 students with financial difficulties. Furthermore, thirty-one academic lectures and twenty-six student activities were organized by the team. Due to their dedication, fifteen students of the school were selected to join in the study abroad programs of BNUZ; eleven students gave excellent performance in the volunteer work of the Literature Forum of BRICS; one student received national-level awards and seven city-level awards.
The work team of student affairs of SFL will always stick to the implementation of strengthening moral education and student cultivation, and put into practice the essential mission of cultivating successors of the socialist cause.
