On the evening of November 4th, Ms. Roz Walls, Mr. Aaron Richards and Mr. Dennis Bake came to the English Conner and discussed interesting topics with students.
After some small talks, Roz chose a topic on the cultural differences between the east and the west. She began with different eating habits, which the students were interested in, and lots of students shared their opinions. During the heated discussion, one of the students came up with the idea of different values, which made everybody excited and couldn’t wait to speak out. What’s more, one of the most active students referred to some historical reasons to explain why there were so many differences, which was really impressive.
Aaron started with sharing his trip in China, and divided students into 4 groups, each discussing a different topic. Everybody expressed their ideas actively.
The English Corner is a place where everybody can speak freely and think much more creatively. Everybody learned a lot tonight.
