English Corner was held in the library on March 27th, and tonight’s topic was “My Life”. Despite the bad weather, many students came as usual and the weather did not lessen their enthusiasm . Mr. Joe Rudynski, Mr. Sean McHugh and Mr. Stephen Keen attended this activity.
Although we live in the same planet, our life is unique because of different experiences and different attitudes towards life and society. However, our lives have something in common: maybe it is ordinary but not dull. When it came to the precious memories, Mr. Joe Rudynski shared his childhood with the students. He said it was the Japanese and American cartoons that had ascompanied him most when he was a child. The Godzilla, a Japanese cartoon, impressed him deeply. At that time, he was fascinated by Japanese culture, and that was one of the reasons for him to fly to Japan to study Asian culture and history.
Mr. Stephen Keen was talking about the most romantic thing throughout his life. He said, he has even written a poem which could speak his heart for a girl he liked instead of giving her bouquet or chocolates. He thought it stood for his adolescence, hence he still kept it. As for Mr. Sean McHugh, he showed his experience to students in PPT. He had been to Egypt, India, South Korea and France etc. During traveling, he enjoyed the life in India and Africa most. The hospitality of Indian made him reluctant to leave and the life style of reading and writing with a cup of coffee in Africa was unforgettable.
Having heard the experience of foreign teachers, the students also want to go in for such kind of life. No matter who you are, as long as you have determination and work hard, you can also have a wonderful life.
