On the evening of June 6th Ms. Linda J. Visner, the foreign teacher of SFL, held a Culture Night in Liyun B206.
With Ms. Linda Visner happily saying, "Welcome to my party!", the activity began. First, Ms. Linda Visner taught the students to make brownies. Ms. Linda Visner prepared the necessary materials and tools, patiently explained each step. And the cake was put into the oven through the joint effort.
Then, Ms. Linda Visner and her friends introduced students to the origin and customs of Western Easter. According to The Bible • New Testament, Jesus was crucified on the cross, bodily resurrection on the third day, Easter, hence the name. Ms. Linda Visner subsequently taught students how to make simple Easter eggs. First, stick the leaves to the eggs to make your favorite shapes, and then put them into paint for four hours.
Next, Ms. Linda started a game guessing from one’s body language. Students laughed and enjoyed it. Ms. Linda Visner also played guitar and sang a song namedPoppa''s Song, which was deeply moving. After that, students tasted the delicious brownies.
In the end, all the students thanked Ms. Linda J. Visner for bringing such a wonderful night.
