On the evening of April 24th, Mr. Neville Swartz, the overseas teacher of the School of Foreign Languages, held a lecture about the changing face of education in Lize C108.
During the lecture, Mr. Neville Swartz talked about the four elements of education-- teachers, tests, texts and technology. He objected to attaching undue importance to technology. Instead, he pointed out that the engine of education should be ” test ”, which encouraged people to keep learning and researching. His erudition and humor attracted students'' attention. In the Q&A session, students put forward many interesting questions.
Through the lecture, students knew the changing face of education and were reminded to find a good way to study so they wouldn''t lose their direction on the road of being educated.
